As you know, current research will help validate our study of handwriting. We encourage it. And, now we are offering you the opportunity to work with members of the AHAF Community to conduct your research online. Each Research requires four things:
We are proposing that we (AHAF Research Teams) can help set up the online forms and response so that your study can be done electronically. You are still responsible for advertising and distributing the link to your research. Let me know if you are interested! |
As graphologists, we wish to support, recognize, and participate in graphological research. We realize that, as a whole, the field of graphology needs much more research.

February 2018 Slant Study
Christina Strang is working on a research study involving the slant in handwriting. No samples are required, just complete an electronic survey regarding the slant in your handwriting and your handedness. Its easy to do and will only take a few moments of your time. Frits Cohen, England, is working on a project regarding segmentation in handwriting and signatures. He asks you mail your handwriting sample of 11 sentences to his address. $5,000.00 Research Grant available Every couple of years this grant, the only Research Grant specifically for Handwriting Analysis becomes available. This will open for proposals in July of 2018...so get your idea, budget, etc in motion NOW, and apply! According to University of Louisville Rare Books and Special Collections Curator, Delinda Buie([email protected]): In 2012 the Council of Graphological Societies, Inc. established an endowment at the University of Louisville Libraries. The terms of this endowment state that its primary use is to support “research studies in the fields of handwriting, handwriting analysis, and questioned document examination by qualified researchers.” The endowment also supports two significant research collections at the University of Louisville: The Klara Goldzieher Roman Collection, which will be donated in future by Dr. Ellen Bowers and the Thea Stein Lewinson Collection, donated in 2002 by Dr. James Keehner. Although no one has added to the endowment since its creation, we would welcome gifts, particularly to fund completion of archival processing of the Thea Stein Lewinson Collection. The books in that collection have been cataloged and are discoverable through our online catalog, but the papers and files, many of which are in languages other than English, will require the attention of specialists in addition to our staff. The research program funded by the Council of Graphological Societies, Inc. Endowment at the University of Louisville provides support for presentation or publication of a scholarly paper or article in areas such as: · handwriting · handwriting analysis · questioned document examination · the work of Klara Goldzieher Roman and/or Thea Stein Lewinson We expect that qualified researchers probably will come with backgrounds in graphology or handwriting analysis, but may also come from disciplines such as education, social work, justice administration, or psychology and brain development. Researchers will need to demonstrate compliance with guidelines for Human Subjects, but will not have access to the University of Louisville’s IRB. 1.
